Old Passion/New Hobby

Friday, February 29th, 2008

I posted last October about my love of Blue Willow and why. At that time, I had no pieces of blue willow, just memories of a childhood miniature tea set that I absolutely demolished … I planned on using that memory to write my Nanowrimo novel. My husband and I went to the antique store to get a plate to use as a muse. I got a cup and a plate. Then, some dear friends surprised me with a birthday present of a miniature tea set!!! I was overwhelmed …and surprised …and delighted! My thera

February’s crafty progress

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Since my last post, the postal service has finally cooperated and delivered the Valentine’s exchange that I stitched for Edgar. He is a fan of Quaker designs so I thought I’d stitch a quaker heart freebie for him. I used Gloriana silk in the shade Cranberry. My only stitching finish for February was Autumn Silhouette, which I shared in my last post. I only started one project this month - Celtic heart by M designs. My parents celebrate their 40th Wedding anniversary in May and I’m going to

The Wedding Attire Thread

Friday, February 29th, 2008

I thought we had a thread about this but I couldn’t find it. If I’m just blind, please post the link and I will merge. With spring/summer wedding season coming up I thought we could post outfits or questions regarding what we plan on wearing. I have a wedding in July in Bristol to attend (well I have to receive my invite but I fairly sure I’m being invited :p) Anyway I know the rules about weddings have been broken more recently but I just wanted some feedback. I’m planning on wearing this

Re-writing the 80/20 rule

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Re-writing the 80/20 rule Today, I had a conversation with a lady who said, and I will paraphrase, that women in relationships (married, dating or otherwise) tend to be unhappy in general, because they spend 80% percent of their time wishing for the 20% that’s missing from their relationship rather than appreciating the 80% of the good thing that they have. She was talking about my February 14th blog post that said married people tend to be healthier than single, widowed or cohabitating peop

This Month In SEO - 2/08

Friday, February 29th, 2008

I could have sworn we should have been here yesterday. Isn’t it 28 days in February? What’s that? Leap year? Oh yeah the extra day we get every few years. 29 days may still a shorter month, but there was no shortage of links This Month In SEO. Football ended as the month began and baseball is starting as the month heads out. Spring is almost here, but spring training has begun. Still it’s only fitting to dedicate this post to all the people who are born on this day and have to figure out when t
